no more sick!

Over our sickness(es) finally (I think?)

Lets go down the list: Dale flu, Mary flu, Mya flu, Owen flu and teething and cold, Malinda-nothing. Last night I came home after my 12 hour day at work, collapsed on the couch, watched the last disc of Veronica Mars (excellent), went to bed. Dale woke me up around 11pm because Mya wasn’t breathing (which makes it sound worse than it was). I really should say, she was breathing weird. It sounded like she was gasping for air and then she wouldn’t breathe? I don’t know. I listened to her chest and she wasn’t phlemmy or anything, who the hell knows what her problem was? I guess she just was sick?

I spent the night sleeping on the floor making sure she was breathing.

This morning I don’t think I was very conscious as I dressed an incredibly crabby and hungry (2 bottles) Owen, and two sleepy twins-Dale couldn’t find his belt, my dad came over to learn the ropes for getting the kids to school, and I collapsed back into bed for 2 hours to get some sleep.

I was able to wake up, get some rice crispies, take a shower and leave for work. I have 21.08 hours and I need 40 by, well technically Saturday at noon-BUT-today I punched in at 9:44, I work till 9pm, that’s 11 hours and 15 min today-so I only need 8 hours (a normal day) tomorrow. Whoopie!

This Saturday Owen turns 1 and we are going to Denny’s for his birthday.

puke everywhere

I’m going to puke today. I have the flu and it’s only through the force of my own will that I am able to avoid puking and dying. Monday we went to Baumer Family Christmas and I left work early, I got there, was there maybe 45 min before Owen puked all over me and the rug, and himself. And I mean, he puked a lot.

So shortly after borrowing a shirt from Dale’s uncle we left. Went home, he was crappy and sick ALL NIGHT.

Tuesday I am running on very little sleep as it was and I get a call at 9am, that Mya puked 2x a daycare and is running a fever. OK, so now I have to leave work and pick her up. I went in and shes all happy and reading books with her teachers, OK.

So we go home and she’s fine? She had a lot of runny poops, but didn’t puke and ate like a cow at dinner. So that’s a whole say of work wasted.

So Mya is all happy all day, watching TV and drawing pictures, whatever. Dale gets home with Owen and Malinda and he decides that he is now sick with the flu. Great.

So last nite he spents a majority of the night puking and sleeping-

Today I need to pull a 12 hour shift and I am about 5 min away from puking myself. I have to stay here though, if I go home, I get no bonus this month, which as of now is, $84.95, either way, even though its small, its money I’d like to have.

happy chrismaka

What a cold and crappy weekend and its looking to be continually cold and crappy all week!

This Friday was our Company Xmas party. I must state here for the record, if you attend a company function where there is alcohol, two fisting drinks just because they are free for an hour, and getting wasted, and driving home wasted=NOT cool. Sheesh and that’s all I will say about our Xmas party with the firm.

Friday after this party I went home, we got Owen from KK and the kids were excited about their trip to the mall with Dale. I got Veronica Mars Season 1 DVD (disc 1 & 2) and watched that pretty much all weekend. Saturday we took the kids to the grocery store and the mall for Owen’s birthday pictures. Sunday the girls went to church with my parents, got a haircut from grandma and we watched football.

I lost in my fantasy league, bah. This week I’m trying to just get through the whole Christmas holidays.

Tuesday: The Day Before Snow Storm 2005…I guess it is a snow advisory this week for our part of the world. I guess that means that I drive home again in the crappy snow. Last night I picked up the kids after yoga, fed them, played a bit, put everyone to bed, ran out to Kohl’s to buy 2 presents for the Baumer Family gift exchange (I have one more left to buy for Olivia), ran back home, wrapped presents for an hour, Terri dropped off my ink (whoo hoo!), cross stitched for awhile watching the MNF game (won my FF league game by 1pt (thank you for getting hurt and throwing an INT Michael Vick), new record 9-3-1, then went to bed.

Today Dale is home with the Twins, can’t reach them so they must be out somewhere. Planning on picking up Owen, making dinner and cleaning up the house a bit. I also have Veronica Mars Season 1, Disc 1 and Murderball on DVD for today.

Happy Monday!

We had a long weekend (and cold). Friday night we took the kids to see Santa down at Cuddles. The girls walked right up to him and chatted with him. Malinda helped him sit down and asked for Candy…sigh. Owen was also very good he sat and sort of smiled at me when I snapped the picture.

Saturday I took the girls to Sentry in the AM. It was their annual “tasting day” at the store. The girls had: Eggnog Ice Cream, Key Lime Pie yogurt, cheese, ham sandwiches, prime rib, pretzels, pickles, and crackers. I entered about 10 drawings and WON! A free bag of groceries with a TON of stuff (crackers, cheese spread, ham, yogurt, eggnog, stuffing and I don’t remember what else!) which I picked up Sunday.

Saturday afternoon got my hair cut, colored and curled with Julie, I have long bangs and it is pretty cute….

Dale’s party was, words can not describe, except to say I was overly dressed for the location, the DJ pretty much threatened everyone to dance, words to the effect of “if you show me you are having a good time, I’ll be good to you?!”

We didn’t stay very long, but did have pretty good dinner, for a buffet! It was pretty lousy driving back and forth to Whitewater in the crappy snow with no plowing or salt!

Sunday slept in till 9:30 (woo hoo), kids came home, ate lunch, did 2 errands, had McDonalds for lunch (kids ate everything), watched some football, played with Owen etc…Watched the Packers win, did 18 loads of laundry, wrapped some of the xmas gifts (ran out of gift tags! Arg!), and showered and went to bed.

This week I have my xmas party this Friday, Saturday Owen is taking his 1 year old birthday pictures on Saturday. Then we have nothing planned for Sunday!

friday!

Start of the long weekend. Work has been insane since no one can work Overtime. I had been working 7-3:30 and taking a ½ hour lunch, then leaving. Well here you get 2 paid 15 min breaks, so by me NOT taking an hour lunch, Im punching out for 30 min and getting those 30 min put back IN my hours-hense-overtime! So I am leaving at 2pm today and not taking a lunch so I wont be over hours. It is totally a mess!

Its still pretty sad here at work, I guess they have lost so much money in the past 2 months that they are asking everyone to reuse the cups for coffee or water so they can save on supplies-its just lousy.

We are however having the big expensive holiday party blow out at the Country Club, go figure?

today since I have the whole overtime thing, I am taking no lunch (which is OK) and leaving at 2pm. We are ordering food here as a group and that’s cool. I plan on taking the girls to see Santa @ Cuddles tonight (I think). Tomorrow I have a hair appt. at noon, dropping the kids off at my parents around 3-3:30, driving to Whitewater for the X-mas Party (bought cute new shoes yesterday and broke them in at work) I guess the Engineers are trying to get a covert poker game for money together (without anyone knowing)…I also had to buy a strapless bra for the sweater I have with my outfit (It’s a boatneck-y type thing), I got a free pair of underwear and $10.00 off the bra, so I can’t complain.

Sunday I am sure we are just watching football. Blah!

mONDAY

Weekend…

Today Is Monday. Friday I worked as usual, worked Saturday AM for 3 hours. I missed the “come to Jesus” meeting that we had Friday afternoon. I guess it was pretty dire.

Friday nite, did not do a whole lot, took Owen to the dr. etc… Saturday, worked, went to Twins party (there was Drama and it was stupid), the kids LOVED Santa! It snowed a lot here and so later Saturday nite after we got home from Big Bend (bad bad roads!) Dale and I shoveled and froze.

Sunday watched football, headed to Catholic Memorial for the annual craft fair (its always really nice) with Owen and my mom, the girls went to my parents and played with Dad and Uncle Matt (watched Monster’s Inc.)

Robin and Grandma and Grandpa came over and we had a nice time.

THIS WEEK: Yoga tonight, then Pick and Save (quick), then Dales xmas party!

Black Friday

Black Friday

This week has really sucked at work. Besides the 32 TA’s they laid off, they laid off Lori (who was in my training class-she was the call auditor manager and really nice), they fired Toni (also in my training class-she was really quiet) and they fired (or laid off, no one knows) Debra (who was a skip tracer and worked here a long time). They also made all the auditors (who used to be collectors) back into collectors for this month and told them they all have to hit the $55k mark (which will be nearly impossible when you start from $0 with nothing from last month).

I missed our all firm meeting yesterday so I don’t know exactly what went on (you cant really rely on the heresay of 10 different employees who were there) but I guess everyone is freaked.

They also told everyone to go check their hours and if you have over 40 for the week, punch out and go home. As of 7 today I had like 37.25 hours so I guess instead of working 5 hours today I’ll go home around 10am.

Had actually a really nice day yesterday. Dale had off and I only worked 2 ½ hours yesterday so went home, woke him up, cleaned up the kitchen etc…

Dale took me to lunch at La Estacion, YUM!

Then did 2 oil and tire rotations on the cars-picked up Owen and took him to the Dr (ears look good, he has an upper respiratory infection and his throat is real red (no strep)-we are already on antibiotics anyways do Dr Biebel said to just finish that out….

(NOTE TO JEFF AND KRISTIE-DR BIEBEL SAYS HELLO AND HAVE A NICE CHRISTMAS!)

This week is a busy week coming up, on Saturday this week Twins Club Xmas party, on Saturday next week I have to get my hair cut, colored, and styled for Dale’s Xmas Party that night (my parents watching the kids), planning on wrapping gifts to at least get started for Xmas hoopla, and I have to get Yoga done Monday and make sure to hit the Gym Thursday and/or Wednesday.

Very INteresting day?

A very interesting occurance…..

Last night we watched “Monster’s Inc.” with the girls. They like to ask “Where’s the little girl?” Well at the end (when Sully sends Boo back to her room and shreds the door) Mya is really upset. She is just standing next to Dale on the floor holding his hand and her lip is all quivering and she has tears in her eyes and she is really sad! We had to explain to her that its OK and don’t worry, Sully gets to see Boo again, but she just stood there and cried very quietly. It was so adorable and sooooo sad!

Dale’s parents came out to celebrate his 31st Birthday last night (HAPPY BIRTHDAY HONEY) and brought food and cookies J The girls were very happy to see them. Last night we watched a truly lame movie, “National Lampoon’s Blackball.” It had a guest staring role with Vince Vaughn as a smarmy agent. As I mentioned to Dale, “are we actually sitting here watching a movie about lawn bowling?”

Today I work 12-9, woke up and it was snowing, got the kids ready for school and went back to bed ‘till 8 am, woke up, listened to Czabe on Bob and Brian, went to Westwood and worked out on the Precor for awhile. Came home, showered and shaved. Scrapbooked a page that I had half finished last night. Started a crock pot for dinner for Dale and the kids.

I went into Mayfair this morning to use the gift card from Robin (in case she is reading and wants to know, the new issue of Rolling Stone with Madonna on the cover and “Son of a Witch” by Gregory Maguire), also to get some buy-one-get-one free plush crap @ The Disney Store. I also got Subway for lunch.

When I got into work we didn’t hit our monthly goal (No shock) but we got the weirdest email: Basically saying that since we didn’t hit our monthly goal, no one can have overtime for the month. Now if we didn’t hit goal, wouldn’t you want people to work overtime to make sure we hit the goal for this current month??

This personally sucks for me since I was pulling down about 3 extra hours a week in OT, which we could really use with the Mexico trip cost and with Xmas (although I can’t afford much for anyone for xmas) here. Bah bah bah.

Tomorrow I work a 3 hour day (give or take) and then an oil change tomorrow afternoon and Owen to the doctor to see if his ears are better.
