today we went to my aunt and uncle's in delefield for lunch (subs) and to measure their Rainbow Gym swingset/slide/fort as they don't need it anymore (their youngest is about to graduate from 5th grade)...and thought we would like a $2500.00 gift...ok. We can fit it in our backyard, just need to take a chainsaw to a few tree branches, take it apart, borrow dad's flatbead hauler, reassemble (with no instructions), power wash and seal...so yes, that will be done by next weekend (ha)...tonight laundry, Diablo II with my honey, possible watching of "Fun With Dick and Jane."

ants!

my basement is overun by fucking ants. i peeled back the woodwork baseboard and an ant colony attacked me. I attacked back with vacuum cleaner, raid and liquid ant killer. I may be calling an exterminator quite soon, ifucking hate ants.

Twins Day

I am in West Bend today at my Twins Meeting for the state. There is a children's choir singing right now, not interested so I am blogging on the hospital computer.

Chances are good we won the capture the flag contest since we all but wiped out the other two groups on friday. So that is either around 475.00 per person (if we arent counting ryan) or like 450ish per person if we do...no one knows if we are or arent and no one wanted to ask Kurt..

Sally said to me that before she left on Thursday Kurt dragged her into his office (which is all he does all day apparantly) to ask HER if i was "ok" about him firing Ryan. Seriously, what the fuck? If he was so worried about what I (or umm anyone) thought about him firing Ryan or whoever he would have a fucking meeting about that or not fire that person at all... Seriously, he isnt the best manager in the world if he needs to think about what the rest of the staff thinks about him when he makes a decision.

The worst part about Thursday was every time he called Sally in his office AFTER he fired Ryan, Carrie would have a nervous breakdown thinking they were going to fire her because she was leaving the wrong message on answering machines.

Kurt also seemed pissed at me because I was NOT coming into work today. He is all like "but it is the last day of the month," (me) "uh huh, i worked my saturday, its ONE saturday per month, see you next month," (him) "but we need every dollar we can get." (me) "I Have 94k in, I think Im ok. See you Monday." (Him) "well be that way then." (me) "thanks for permission to have a weekend off of work!" (him) "well Im going to be here 14 hours on SUNDAY doing settlement letters " (me) "yes, that is why they pay you a salary and you pay me hourly. Its good to be the king, have a nice weekend (in my head-asshole)"

If the pay wasnt so good I would quit and stay home and sleep.

Netflix movies today, Cinderella Man, Goodnight and Goodluck, and The Ice Harvest.

Starting the week of May 8th, we are Nielsen's TV Rating Family! Whoo Hoo! Here is props to Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars and The Way Things Work and ER and 8 hours per day on saturday of The Disney Channel!

Owen in surgery

Owen came through his surgery for adnoids fine..he is waking up now. They gave him some medicine to drink which seriously made him drunk....have you ever seen a drunk baby? Its funny! The anestecian(?) sd he going to be hell on wheels when he gets to college.

There was an 18 year old who was supposed to have surgery today, the doctor was telling the mom, he has pot and cocaine in his system. The mother was all like "oh i dont think those blood tests are right, you do the surgery, not MY kid etc..." The doctor was saying that if they did the surgery he could die...The mother said "i dont care i am on family medical leave, and I am sure its just his friends that are doing drugs not him." Nice huh? Ryan you can have the full detailed story Saturday night....all i can say is while this doctor was explaining all this to the mother I REALLY needed to call carrie and have her hear so we could say "oh no she di-nt!"

I WON! At the corner gas station by my house I entered I dunno maybe a total of 15 entries and I won a HUGE 3 foot tall stuffed easter bunny and a easter basket full of toys for the kids (Barbie, Hot Wheels Cars….). Cool! I spent today watching Northern Exposure, Disc 2-season 4 with Owen, we hit the gym for an hour…ate a snack together (he granola fruit bar, me BLT)…then watched more Northern Exposure….

My dad took Owen today and they played outside for hours and Owen was asleep this afternoon…

At work I had a chat with my boss who emailed me around 5:30 with the following "what motivates you?" seriously-a one line email? So I email back "are you serious?"…response: as a tarantula walking on you when you are struck by the tiki curse (which I learned later was a Brady Bunch reference that I wasn't familiar with…)

So Kurt calls me down to his office (great Im thinking what the fuck did I do now?) and says "you know I think you are a really great collector, but I'm wondering what I can do to motivate you to excel etc..blah blah…" so I am completely on the spot and flummoxed so I proceed to say what I like to do around here and yes some days I am horribly bored etc…

I have no idea what the purpose of this was but it was off putting and all. I fucking hate being called into Kurts office…everyone looks at you like you are the next person to get fired.

upkeep

Happy day, I was able to watch part of my season 4 box set for Northern Exposure...went to walmart with the girls, shopped and on a lark took pictures (they are in their normal clothes, they dont match, arent especially clean, and the pictures were great!). Had 59 cent mcdonalds cheeseburgers for dinner, took a walk around the block, picked up sticks in the backyard....

editied Ryan's resume (the atlanta zoo would totally be lucky to get you and if you get hired the kids and i are coming to visit and expect a free pass Long Lost Twin of mine), put together a toy cart for Owen...

Updated my ipod with 5 cd's of Disney classics..(listening to "lets get to gether" by hayley mills and hayley mills...) and now I am off to cuddle with my man.

sorry

i have been lax in posting, very busy at work so i cant type there, and very busy at home with daylight savings cutting into my down time at night. Today I work at 12:30, I am going outside to do yardwork, i took the cat to get her teeth cleaned (she is angry with me), laundry and I will scrapbook a bit this morning. Also started work on a CD(s?) for Ryan and his wife to drive to while heading down to their new home in Atlanta...Happy Trails to my Twin and his wife!

I got almost one whole extra paycheck this month in bonusmoney from work, that is very welcome. I have to go put a load in the dryer. remind me to blog about the naked grandma at the healthclub!
