I'm tired Posted by Hello
We had a busy weekend. Friday there was my Twins meeting, and we went to La Estacion for drinks afterwards (I had a burrito and Horchatta-yum) I didnt get home till 11:30. The girls got a new toy its a pop up playhouse/puppet theatre/grocery store/post office. They had an insane time running in and out all weekend and playing with the puppets....anyone with kids is welcome to come over and play with it.

Saturday we went to Betty Brinn with the Twins group, Erin, Lisa and Jeannie all came with their kids. We did tot time (made an apple) and ran around the toddler area...of course the girls collapsed in the car. We had lunch with them at Denny's (grilled cheese and goldfish crackers) and then played inside all day...

Yesterday my parents came over and watched the girls while my mom stained our woodwork, Dale raked leaves, and I finished putting up the X-Mas tree. Mya has a new tooth (#8) and if I could find the baby books I would note that....(where the fuck did I put the babybooks?)

Today are going to have something for dinner (I have no idea what, maybe pasta?) and watch MNF. Tomorrow I have both girls by myself for dinner so I am thinking a kids meal from Wendy's....no idea...

My parents are in florida all week so I have to get their mail for them! Pictures from this weekend to follow.

Had to leave work early yesterday as Malinda was throwing up all over the place. Grandma said she couldnt keep anything down. She stayed at my folks last night and according to my mom both the girls just wanted to be held....Mya is all chapped on her face from snot and I think drool? I dunno. They slept good last night and are eating oatmeal and bananas as we speak.

Dale and I watched Shrek 2 last night, pretty funny even if I do dislike Cameron Diaz. We also cleaned the house (kinda), put up the christmas tree, did some holiday decorating, attached one babygate to the wall, cleaned the kitchen floor, did laundry, dishes, dusted, and finally I got to watch ER which Im sure was meant to be this big wonderful emmy nominated ep., but which I found kind of slow and boring.

Jesus speaks through the Republicans

I hope the election of George W. Bush is seen as a wake-up call to all the liberal Democrats who oppose God's will.

It is His doing that George W. Bush is still our president. Millions of born-again Christians helped win this election through our prayers and votes. Jesus speaks through the Republicans.

The Democrats will not be able to win elections until they renounce their sinful ways and stop encouraging abortions, gayness, and trying to take away our guns.

AND ALL YOU REPUBLICANS OUT THERE WONDER WHY THE DEMOCRATS VOTE THE WAY WE DO? I'D LOVE TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH A MORON LIKE THIS GUY!

So the concert was beyond WAY wonderful. It makes it into the top 5 single best events of my existance, right behind having the kids, getting married etc... They played for 2 solid hours, no chit chat between songs just 2 hours of music. WOW. The highlights: Both versions of Wave of Mutilation (the fast version and the UK surf mix), Caribou, Where is my Mind and Debaser (the opening song), the lowlights: No Hangwire :(

It was a little odd to be at a concert when I'm 8 months pregnant and when I can't wear my "official concert uniform." There were like 40 year old people there dressed up as the "disaffected youth movement." I'm all for self expression but I'm thinking that once you are 40 with a house and kids and whatever it becomes slightly pathetic to pull out your old leather jacket, funky pant/shirt combo, dye your hair blue for the night and smoke your shitty cigarettes and try to pretend to blend in with the 15 year olds there that actually are the disaffected youth.

Plus I felt under (?) dressed since I didnt have one of the following on my person: pladd, doc martins, ripped teeshirt/jeans, pony-tails in my hair-funky yet arty glasses, cigarettes, beer, mismatched socks, anything army green, or hair the color of (insert rainbow bright color here)....

I was sitting around (in my choice ass seat, 1st row bal. next to the wheelchair access...total prime view) in my pregnancy fat jeans, a shirt I borrowed from my Uncle, my work shoes (which are just boring black sketchers) and warm socks. Did I mention that I'm 8 mo pregnant so my everything was swollen? Yes, I looked exactly like your typical punk rock legend band concert goer...

The baby liked the show, he was kicking along during the songs...I'm not sure if it was "yes this rocks, whoo hoo" kicking or "holy shit mom this is fucking loud what the hell" kicking.

Before the show I met up with Vanessa and we ate in the basement at Roots. We had some excellent organic nachos with pork, and I had part of a Hamburger with Yucca Chips.

Went and saw Vanessa's new place, played with her kitties and Ali who is growing into such a big dog!!! She was nice enough to drop me off at the show.

I was able to walk home from the concert to my Aunts Condo which is soooooo nice let me tell you. They hired a great decorator for the place, it just looks amazing! Had trouble sleeping for some reason...now I feel like death this morning....

Malinda and Dale had a nice night together. They ate dinner right away when they got home and they watched Shrek 2. Dale said Malinda really enjoyed that and held her Donkey during the movie, also spent much time pointing at the screen...maybe we will have to buy the box set for the kids?!

Nerf Herder - Pantera Fans In Love Lyrics

I bleached my hair just like Vince Neil
Then you made me cut it like James Hetfield
We're gonna put an end to alternative rock
We'll find a way to make the Cranberries stop
We went to Sears for pictures at Christmas time
But they wouldnt let us make the metal sign
No they wouldnt let us make the metal sign.

Chorus:
I'll bring the wine you bring the bread and cheese
It's hard to eat when your headbanging
Making out in the middle of the pit
How come Slayer doesn't sing about this
If anything comes between you and me
The heavymetal heaven that's where we'll meet
We are Pantera fans in love

What's with these punk rock nerds
They cant even sing i wish we never heard of the Offspring
A candle lit dinner, Now were holding hands
I taught you how to draw your first pentagram
We went miniture golfing but we didnt get far
Because we used the clubs to play air guitar
Oh we used the clubs to play air guitar

(Chorus)

We are we are Pantera fans in love

We saw Ozzy on our first date
Our special song is Crazy Train
Making out in the middle of the pit
How come Slayer doesn't sing about this
If anything comes between you and me
The heavymetal heaven that's where we'll meet
We are Metallica fans
We are Megadeath fans
We are Manowar fans in love
We are Pantera fans in love

So now its Mya's turn to not want to sleep. She woke up at maybe 11:30? and Dale took her downstairs, I guess she played with her toys till like 1-1:30 and finally collapsed on a pillow and Dale brought her to bed.

Tonight is THE PIXIES CONERT here downtown in Milwaukee! Whoo Hooo! I am going to dinner at Roots with Vanessa for dinner (her boyfriend Josh is the Manager there), I'm staying at my Aunt and Uncle's condo (which is directly across the street from M&I Bank on Water Street in Milwaukee, and the show is at 8pm here downtown. I'm not going home at all since it would be SUPER late when I got home....So I'm heading to the show (at 8 mo pregnant, what a hoot!) and heading to the condo to sleep....I'll be able to have starbucks for breakfast :) and head to work... I'm stoked as this is the birthday present that I got for myself!

I'm having to tape Gilmore Girls tonight so I can watch it tomorrow...Dale and Malinda are watching Shrek 2...we want to see if she can understand that her stuffed Donkey and the Donkey on the TV are the same thing....

Malinda wouldnt go to bed last night, she was very sad and cranky...gave her some tylenol, and a bottle and the damn phone kept ringing which didnt help! She finally went down but was REALLY tired this morning and just wanted to cuddle while we watched Bear in the Big Blue House (today's episode was about disabilities)....I have a Dr's appt. at 4:45 today so tonight will be pretty rushed with Dale picking up the kids and stuff...

Today I have a lot to do at work which is nice, what is not nice is that my boss is OOO on vacation.

Other good news I'm almost done with my lawsuit unpleasantness so thats excellent!

So Mya has some new accomplishments this week. Yesterday she finally decided to participate in the "Mya, where's your nose? Can you show Mommy your nose?" game. Malinda has been doing this for months and now Mya smugly points to her own nose. Also my brother informed me she can now find her ears for you if you ask her where they are. She greeted me this morning on the phone with a resounding "DAT!"

I am very tired this week, 2 mornings of up at 4am and this damn cough (which is either bronchial pnumonia or whooping cough) is killing me and now the girls are sick as well. bah. Getting my breaks replaced tomorrow AM and a dr's appt on Monday...Now that I'm in the home stretch its every two weeks.
