Good Wedding

Goran and Heather's wedding was crazy amazing. The bride and her bridesmaids wore Vera Wang, there were over 300 candles and I would estimate around 2,000 roses all over the reception area. Filet Mingon for dinner, 4 open bars (free) all night plus a Gormet Martini Bar (yum chocolate martini...) I got pictures but they are QUITE dark (as everything was candlelit) so I may have to clean them up before posting.

Ayesha (moran's wife) is pregnant with B/G twins, dejan's son is around 6 mo old and Brian just had baby #2 and I learned from Angie Toson-Pettit that Justin Toson just had a baby girl named anna (Shannon, did you know that?) and they are moving to oconomowoc!

The train ride down was nice and our hotel was lovely. Had breakfast at one of the 3,000 star bucks on Michigan Ave and took a window shopping walk after breakfast. Now I plan on laying down all day and sleeping with the kiddies.

We have a new girl (who is the daughter of an x-employee who got cancer and quit) who is working out, I have NOTHING to do and I have been sitting here for 2 hours picking my nose and emailing Kristie and Erin back and forth. Could my week BE any longer?

STUPID TREE

last night we had a doozy of a storm, 50-75mph sustained winds and much much rain. Our house is on a corner and the street next to our house is the low spot for the area, when it rains like hell, the street floods up to and over the curb and onto the sidewalk. Last night we had fun watching the cars (stupid) drive through all this water (dumbasses) the only smart guy to NOT go through this huge flooded area was the guy in the red corvette, he turned his car around and went the other way!

As I was downstairs with dale and owen watching the storm come up I said "I hope the tree out front doesnt fall over on our cars, that would suck?" (do you think you can see where this is headed?)

About 10 min later I hear a big crack and run upstairs, our birch tree in the front yard had a branch which broke off about 3 feet from my car ( i took a picture of it with my cell phone)-crisis averted. Dale told me not to speak about trees falling on the cars and tempt fate anymore (done and done)

There were LOTS of branches down and a front end loader came by and cleaned up our street around 9pm....

Had Saki-Tumi for lunch today (last time :( ) and stopped in Downtown Books (last time :( ) and met with my boss (last time) and no idea what Ill do tomorrow, prob squat.

Hot as all get out!

Our A/C was out all weekend. The electrician said he didn’t have a “part” and no one told him he needed this “part” so “see you Monday @ 7:30, have a nice weekend.” This was just great as its fucking 90+ all weekend and my kids are insane to begin with so we spent most of the weekend running between malls and my parents to find coolness. I felt like I was in college again with a big box fan in the window to get hot air out. Ug..

We took the girls to the dentist this Saturday for the 1st time and they did really good! (pictures below) The hygienist let them play with all the tools (mirror, water gun, air gun, suction thingy the tooth cleaning thingy) and gave them a latex glove all blown up to play with. They had fun and got stickers so they were all thrilled.

Did pictures with Owen Saturday afternoon, very cute, I will post once I get them online from Penny’s. Also picked up pictures and will send them out via mail to everyone who would want one.

Watched a few movies last week, “Crash” very very good, “Sahara” also pretty good, “Kung Fu Hustle” weird, but good, and funny-but had subtitles so I couldn’t really cross stitch and watch.

Sunday we went to my moms (girls slept over there Sat nite as it was hot in their room), watched football etc…

I went to Kohls Sunday and got some good deals everything is either Buy 1 get 1 Free or buy 1 get 1 1/2 off, wowie! The kids were insane and mad at everyone, I guess the Terrible 2’s have hit us.

Minda went potty in the potty this morning that’s super. It was really muggy in the house so they better fix my A/C today and I am not kidding!!!!

Awful Tuesday (Monday)

Owen got sick at daycare with a 102 fever and projectile puking yesterday so I had to leave work and go to the Dr. (2nd time in less than 7 days) He hadnt eaten at all so I tried a bottle which 30 sec later he proceeded to throw up all over my dry clean only pants....sigh

Dr. Biebel said he was going to call what Owen had "a disease unique to Owen." Its pretty much upper respiratory with an upset tummy from all the phlegm and coughing....poor kid.

So I'm covered in puke with a pretty listless, feverish baby, going to Mack's for custard because, I'm covered in puke with a pretty listless, feverish baby. I buy a 1/2 gal of Rocky Road for dale and `/2 gal of mocha almond fudge for me. I forget the 1/2 gal there for RR, and had to go back 5 hours later to pick up.

Owen spent about 2 hrs sweating out his fever on me last night and slept OK till about 4:30am.

Today I have not seen my boss yet (Ive been here 3 hours) I think we may be avoiding each other?!

Job

So today people at work (for the most part) are treating me like a leper for quitting my job here. My standard "reason why" is I drive too far, I spend too much on gas/oil changes, and I have no career advancement here.

I learned that my other collector here is also looking for a job since they stiffed him on his raise. Nice.

I have a few other bubbles in the air for jobs, and I may end up NOT taking this one if somehing better comes along in the next two weeks...funny!

Quit

Today I quit my job and accepted a new position closer to home. Its on Hwy 100 and National for a law firm. It should be a better fit for my family. I will make more money. The downside, i guess Is one late night (12-9) per month and one saturday (so friday 4 hrs and saturday 7-11) per month, which really shouldnt be that bad. I called my boss and left her a voice mail telling her I'm putting in my two weeks and my last day is 2 weeks from now Thursday. I havent talked to her yet. Im sorry to go but with gas at 3.50 a gal, finding something that cuts 20 mi a day off my drive is a good thing.

Gas prices are wacky around SE Wisconsin. Downtown there is one gas station (as you head into the 3rd Ward) which was at $3.56/gal reg last night....the gas station by our house was $2.99.

What's up with people in LA looting AK-47's and running around shooting at the National Guard helicopters as they evac people? Holy crap?! I say, just give New Orleans up for dead, it was a crappy smelly barfy city anyways.
